CURRENT VACANICES WITH BUTTERFLIES BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT AND FRIENDSHIP SERVICES

 

BUTTERFLIES CENTRE VOLUNTEERS

We are currently looking for volunteers for our new Butterflies Centre in Eastleigh to help with admin including answering phone calls.  We are flexible and are looking to cover the centre between 10am and 3pm Monday to Friday with around 10 volunteers in today. A maximum of two volunteers at a time.  If you can answer emails, help create information packs, answer our phones and like tea/coffee and a very relaxed volunteer atmosphere, then this opportunity is for you. 

 

We are thinking two sessions per day so people can volunteer for shorter periods or around their own commitments  such as  10am – 12.30pm or 1pm – 3pm  or any variation. We are also looking for volunteers on Tuesday and Thursdays from 3pm - 5pm

 

FRIENDSHIP BUDDIES

With even more restrictions being faced in the coming months, the number of people feeling lonely and isolated in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight continues to increase.  We therefore need more friendship buddies in both areas.  The buddies have a choice of Telephone buddies where they contact two clients per week on the telephone for a generic catch-up and chat and provide the link to the outside world

Fundraisers

To run Butterflies Bereavement Support and Friendship Service costs around £30k a year and we have no government funding for our work across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.  We are looking for people with a flair for fundraising to come and support this very worthwhile project and help organise events to raise funds and also our profile.
